“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
A promise from God that is repeated in Bible several times and has been source of courage to millions. In an uncertain world and temporary relationships, where your most coveted job, your title, your partner, your children, your money and friends may leave you anytime, it is only God who sticks around you.
Never leaves you.
Doesn’t condemn you of anything why the wrongs happened  in your life, why your wife left you, why your son died so young or why your father disowned you?
People will see your track record, they will see how successful you have been to judge your present and future. People and this world have their own way of looking at things.
But, the true living God will never judge you.
In fact, in the midst of your tough circumstances, He tells you, “be bold and courageous”. So what if you are ordinary. It’s been God’s style of making ordinary do extraordinary exploits.
As Josua faces the fierce enemy and battlefield, this is what God promises him, “Be strong and courageous. Do it be afraid or terrified because of them(enemies), for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”
So, by now, you know that it’s really not about you.
So..”Don’t be afraid and do not be discouraged”, he commands you as you set for your brand new journey.
As the battle is not yours but His, so there is no reason to be afraid and be overwhelmed by your opposite forces – circumstances or people.
Good news is that God already has won the battle for you.
You just need to claim it.
Jesus died on the Cross nailing down with Him all the powers of darkness and made the public spectacle of Satan. Third day, He lived again only to prove you that He conquered death for you and for me. So, whosoever believed in Him shall not die but will live.
To be victorious over your dead circumstances, relationships, you just need to claim that victory by believing in your heart what Jesus did on the Cross for you and for me.
He will never leave you nor forsake you. ( Deuteronomy 31: 6)

It’s not about you…

Because I'm Fabulous

I remember being pregnant with my children, feeling as their gentle flutters progressed into full belly flops on my bladder and painful karate kicks against the backs of my ribs. Back then I had no clue what my children would be like; they were more like ideas than real people. I’d sit in my rocking chair with my hands clasped gently over my stomach and wonder who they’d be. Dreaming of children who loved singing as much as me; envisioning singing rounds, our voices weaving together in harmony.

Then they were born. Short, chubby, bald people who looked a lot more like Winston Churchill than either their Dad or myself. People that screamed randomly, pooped on themselves, and considered “gah” to be an entire conversation. I still had no idea what they were like except loud, messy, and highly uncoordinated. They slowly evolved into their own people. Emma was colicky and had a desperate need to be…
