“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
A promise from God that is repeated in Bible several times and has been source of courage to millions. In an uncertain world and temporary relationships, where your most coveted job, your title, your partner, your children, your money and friends may leave you anytime, it is only God who sticks around you.
Never leaves you.
Doesn’t condemn you of anything why the wrongs happened  in your life, why your wife left you, why your son died so young or why your father disowned you?
People will see your track record, they will see how successful you have been to judge your present and future. People and this world have their own way of looking at things.
But, the true living God will never judge you.
In fact, in the midst of your tough circumstances, He tells you, “be bold and courageous”. So what if you are ordinary. It’s been God’s style of making ordinary do extraordinary exploits.
As Josua faces the fierce enemy and battlefield, this is what God promises him, “Be strong and courageous. Do it be afraid or terrified because of them(enemies), for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”
So, by now, you know that it’s really not about you.
So..”Don’t be afraid and do not be discouraged”, he commands you as you set for your brand new journey.
As the battle is not yours but His, so there is no reason to be afraid and be overwhelmed by your opposite forces – circumstances or people.
Good news is that God already has won the battle for you.
You just need to claim it.
Jesus died on the Cross nailing down with Him all the powers of darkness and made the public spectacle of Satan. Third day, He lived again only to prove you that He conquered death for you and for me. So, whosoever believed in Him shall not die but will live.
To be victorious over your dead circumstances, relationships, you just need to claim that victory by believing in your heart what Jesus did on the Cross for you and for me.
He will never leave you nor forsake you. ( Deuteronomy 31: 6)

Do i need to fear God? – Exodus 20:18-21

“I can’t have a Facebook account. I am just 10”, said my son to his peers last week. When insisted, he further told, “my mum won’t allow. I can’t have a face book account” and didn’t budge even they laughed at him. Why wouldn’t he just go ahead and do it. Our home has wi-if and he has access to it all the time. I am not watching him either. So! “Is he afraid of me?”, I thought. What kind of fear is it? He just respected what I told him. Why I told him this ? So that I can discipline him.
Same way, should i and you be afraid of God? This question bothers many of we Christians especially when we know our God is the God of Mercy and Grace, slow to anger. God will not do us any harm. And, many of us take our God for granted thinking He will hear us when we cry. We become slack when it comes to worshiping Him and reading the word of God. And, we remember Him only in the times of trouble, when the oceans rise and thunder storms against us. So should you and I be afraid of God? Answer lies in the following verses.
Fear is not the fear of something evil but fear out of respect the way a child fears his disciplining father. “This fear is fear so that we may not sin”, answers Moses in Exodus 20:18
This fear of not doing wrong sets the discipline in our lives as the world renowned motivational speaker Jim Ron says,” Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment”. And the word of God says, “Fear of Lord is the beginning of knowledge.”

Exodus 14:19-20 – God is right behind you!

Exodus 14:19-20

19 Then the angel of God, who had been traveling in front of Israel’s army, withdrew and went behind them. The pillar of cloud also moved from in front and stood behind them, 20 coming between the armies of Egypt and Israel. Throughout the night the cloud brought darkness to the one side and light to the other side; so neither went near the other all night long. (NIV Bible)

Tough times just don’t end for you, problems chase you endlessly, and enemies keep making wicked plans for you. You are tired. Can’t see God! And, you say, “God where are you?”

But, you don’t know that right then God is behind you actually. There are times when you feel as if God has withdrawn his presence from you. Just as the angel of God did for Israel when Egyptians were chasing them to the Red Sea and the pillar of cloud stood behind Israelites eclipsing Egyptian army’s view. Perhaps, today God is doing the same for you standing behind you, between you and your enemy, backing you, protecting you and shielding you. So, if you are restless, probably it is a time for you to stay still as God is going to take you much ahead of your situations!

God Bless!!

Exodus 3:11

But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?” (Exodus 3:11 NKJV)

Many a time we may feel small of ourselves..incapable.. Insufficient when it comes to achieving something significant. But we forget that there is one force that completes us and that is the power of God almighty .

A slave vs the king, Pharaoh? How that can be possible?

But history has it in Bible that God performed miracles through most basic people. It is interesting to know as if its God’s plan to do extraordinary through ordinary!

So, if you are feeling small in front of a big challenge? Then know that if what you are doing is according to the will of God, that is to do good, you can move the mountains for what is impossible for man is possible for God.

Why you need to lift heads and hearts?

Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. (Psalms 24:7, 9 NKJV)

Why we are to lift up heads? Our hearts?

What does it mean?

Lift up from the usual issues of earthly life. As the king of Glory is coming down from heaven, from up..our focus should be on Him and not down on the earth. Many of us get so absorbed in our struggles of life , busyness, our quests for success, changing, knowing etcetera. But, the most important quest that is coming of His glory, is neglected.

Try tying a helium filled balloon with a stone! Can it lift up? The moment it is released from the stone, it goes up in the sky freely. Same is with our hearts. A heart burdened with issues of life, can not be lifted up! So, we need to watch and get our hearts cleared for out of which flow the issues of life.

So, to enable The King of Glory to enter our lives and work in us and through our lives, we first need to lift the gates of our hearts and lift up our heads.

“Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.” – 1 Chronicle 16:23

Good news is that Jesus dies on the cross for our sins so that we don’t have to face the penalty. He took all our sicknesses & infirmities, sins, shame, pain, hatred, malice, jealousy, wickedness, evil talking, evil thoughts, and everything that is not according to the will of our good God; nailed on the cross with Him, disarming & making a public spectacle of the enemy (Satan). That we are bathed in the Holy blood of Jesus, cleansed, redeemed and made holy. So that, renewed in spirit, soul & body, we are, now,  new creations in Christ Jesus, wonderfully made for the good works by carrying His Cross everyday.

May you have a wonderful day today! Blessing!

Nothing is Impossible for the righteous!

‘Then the Lord said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household, because i have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.”‘ – Genesis 7:1

God calls Noah, an ordinary man, righteous before Him.

What does this mean? Righteous according to the Law? But there was no law that time. What was God referring to? This title given by God follows God’s command to Noah to build the ark and Noah’s obedience and commitment to Lord’s command (Gen 6:22 – “Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did”).

Imagine how many years it must have taken Noah to build such a gigantic ark to fit in every species of bird and animals, land and water, (Gen 6:19-20). As the time between Genesis 5:32 and Gen 7:6 is 100 years, so most of the scholars believe it took Noah almost a century to build the ark.

Didn’t Noah get tired with this never ending task? Did he think the task was too big or too difficult to be accomplished? Was he ever discouraged by people around him telling his all the time how insignificant was he for the job he was doing? I think this all as a possibly have happened with Noah.

But, in midst of all this, he trusted God and persevered. Regardless of circumstances, time, and people, he just kept on doing the job assigned to him by God and finally, accomplished it.

But, how could he do it all alone?

Yes, Noah was an ordinary man. But, he had faith. Noah’s strength was in his obedience. When he decided to obey, God’s supernatural providence, creativity and design, inspiration, and strength added to his.

Today, you may have some things to accomplish that may seem to be gigantic or impossible to you. Or, you may feel you are just an ordinary person but with dreams and visions in your eyes. It’s Ok!

You are more blessed than Noah because today you have Jesus Christ to take your case up. Just believe that you can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens you(Phil 4:13). He died for your and my sins so that we can stand righteous before God, sinless, blameless, just as Noah.

So, the moment you believe in Jesus and confess from your mouth, you become righteous. When you trust without any doubt, and keep doing according to His will, impossible become possible, mountains are removed as you are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:37).

Though you are ordinary,  your accomplishments would be extraordinary as you are not alone. God’s supernatural power and presence, His provision, ideas, visions, creativity will be added to you according to your faith. Remember, our God accomplishes extraordinary things through ordinary people.

You are righteous and nothing is impossible for you. Amen!

The Eternal Blood Bank

“..for blood is the life of all flesh. Its (every creature’s) blood sustains its life.” – Leviticus 17:14

Quoted above is the characteristic of blood. Blood is the life. Blood sustains life. Blood gives life.   Blood remains live, even stored outside, will give life. The blood level of patient goes down, he may die. Transfuse blood, he lives up again.

As the hospitals store thousands of blood units of various groups in their blood banks for any emergency requirements, so in Jesus Christ, stored is our eternal blood bank . First, the living blood of Jesus gives us new life. Then, Jesus keeps transfusing his blood into our systems, our bodies, our circumstances, and every ailing part of our lives so that we may never die.

Interestingly, the blood of Jesus suits every group and type. And, miraculously, the Jesus blood bank never goes short of supply. It is eternal!

Word of God – The Spiritual Kadha(Expectorant)

For past 15 days i have been suffering from bad cough and wheezing. To ease my cough and drive out the phlegm from my body, my dear dad-in-law, who is being with us for some time, has been making Kadha for me. Kadha is a concoction of various herbs mainly, black pepper, ginger, tulsi, tea leaves etc (i’ve yet to ask him for a complete recipe) boiled in water for some time. Then this hot kadha is sipped slowly 2-3 times a day.  Kadha is pungent. Depending on your level of discomfort, may need to add more black pepper and ginger, making it more pungent. Sometimes you like it, sometimes you don’t.  This works as an expectorant that on taking it in diligently, the phlegm and the foreign particles are washed out of body. It goes and hits the affected site. The throat is soothed, the air passage is cleared. Every time it goes one level deeper. Slowly, one starts breathing normally as blockages go away.

What we do when we feel spiritually blocked, choked? When we feel many bottlenecks are in our path- personal, professional, spiritual, or, when we feel disconnected with our Supreme being? If we are encountering any issues recurring in our lives, whether personal, home, relationships, jobs, business, physical health, it is surely due to the spiritual blockage in some area of your life. When not addressed, this gets accumulated and gets to the level of choking. We need spiritual kadha for this.

Spiritual Kadha is The Word of God, that acts as spiritual expectorant in your life’s situation. To get rid of my throat allergy and bronchitis, i need to clear my throat and lungs congestion by taking kadha myself. I cannot expect you to dring kadha for me that i am free of inflammation.

In the same way, to improve situations in my life, i can expect only myself to work upon my self. That is inside out. For that, i need to inhale Word of God that will sweep my road clean from everything and anything that comes in my way of healthy living.

Bible says,“My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings. Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh. Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.” (Amplified Bible -Proverbs 4:20-23

Specific Word of God for specific situation acts right at the accident spot to act as first aid when situation is severe. And, then, slowly acts towards reaching to the bottom to repair. If your soul is bruised, it will act like a balm. If you need directions in your work, it will give you directions. You may find it bitter at times. But, if the congestion is higher, kdha has to be more pungent.

Many a time you may not like to read it. Just like your kadha, if you read word of God diligently, you keep clearing your system. Each time you eat and drink the word, your spiritual phlegm – spirits of unforgivingness, jealousy, anger, pride, envy, gossip, vengeful feelings, covetousness, competitiveness will be thrown out.

Every time the word will go deeper your spirit, deep down to deal with your hurts, abuses, feelings and emotions, bad experiences and guilt (of doing something wrong, or wrong to someone). And, there will be a time when you will be a free spirited person.

So, keep taking your spiritual kadha – the word of God.
